Honestly I'm going under the staircase at the gym ... in my house the closet. I will follow the owners rules at the gym for the kids, but I'm going under the staircase if I have time. I keep picturing the side of the gym wall collapsing and all that going into the pit on top the kids (God forbid).

Well my concern with the pit is debris or roofing falling on top and literally trapping the kids inside the pit or pressure on top from something heavy coming down on them. I would think the bathroom would be more logical. I watched the weather channel once and they showed a house completely...

Just curious ... in case of a Tornado where do you guys have your kids go. My boss at our gym says the pit with 8 incher's over the top. I don't agree ... but what do you guys think?

I agree sorry your child was injured but maybe it was your Child ... parents tend to think because something happens to their child it's a problem with everyone's child. Not.

I do agree that she may just need to repeat Level 5. You yourself said it, "She's obviously not a natural" with that being said maybe she needs more time to grasp what she is doing. Also I hear parents say this all the time," I don't care about score, as long as she's happy" or things close to...

My thing is it's all for the benefit of helping the gym and kids get better so why get upset?

I like that "if you think you know it all, then it's time to retire" .... I so agree with that! Sadly my owner actually told me he doesn't want me taking coaching advice from anyone but him. That didn't fly by with me ... that is NOT going to happen.

Is it offensive to ask certain gyms if you could come and train under their coaches (Optional) My owner doesn't send us to a lot "Any" training clinics. I've done great so far getting knowledge and learning on my own. But their is still lots to learn. Is it tacky to ask? I know the decision...

Thanks guys ... most of the girls straddle cast. It's driving me crazy ... either the heals close behind the bottom or they close in a straight line and just don't save it. Tried several ways to fix it just gets frustrating.

I notice the coaches in my gym are teaching just about every kid that comes across them a straddle cast to handstand. I feel like they are doing it because it's just easier then teaching the straight body. They are even teaching the smaller kids (not younger, smaller) kids to straddle. What...

Does anyone have any tips for "Not falling over on Handstands on Bars" is this a conditioning issue or just lack of fight. Please help.

I coach level 7-9's ... of course at this age they tend to back talk a lot.
