Coaches my vault? please give feedback!!

Thank you! This is helpful I appreciate it! Yes in the U.S they will take deductions for not being in the centre which is caused by one hand leaving earlier than the other!

    WAG alternate optional beam skills

I have done some p.t. I have a rare situation because I have a titanium plate in my right arm. However, I haven’t gone to pt in a good 6 months and I think this is just the reminder I needed! Thank you!

    WAG Balance beam mat height

The rules have not changed, your coach may just be trying to challenge you. You can compete with the mat unless you are in the higher optional levels or in college/ elite gymnastics

Gymnasts How do i get over mental blocks easier and quicker?

Hey there! My advice would be to do a few private sessions with a coach if possible to really narrow down and work on your fears. Also, look for some drills that will help reassure your form in these skills and practice them before attempting your mental block skills. Also just talking to your...

    Parents College camp question

I wouldn't worry too much about them ruling her out. If she is a very good level 8 they will see her for her potential but not rule her out, just give her time for her gymnastics to grow the next few years. An all-level camp might not be the best idea as it won't be technical and serious enough...

WAG Easy level nine bar routine

One easy skill you see some gymnasts doing is the chinese sit up also called the toe shoot/ toe hecht. It will not fill all the requirements for level 9 obviously but it certainly helps for girls who struggle with bars.

Coaches my vault? please give feedback!!

Hey! I know I'm going crazy with all the new posts, but I really want the gymnastics community's opinion of me and my gymnastics. In return for input from others, I will try and reply to as many of others' posts as I can so we can all help each other out! My question: deductions on this vault...

Coaches Please help! Corrections in this round-off layout!

I got a 9.450 on this routine and I desperately want a 9.7, and my second pass is very clean, I am 100% sure most of my deductions all come down to this round-off layout! I am known to have a wacky round off so I am working my hardest on this! I can already see a lot of the errors in it but want...

    WAG alternate optional beam skills

Hi! I am wondering if in levels 7/ 8 it is okay for a gymnast not to have any type of back handspring in her beam routine as you see 99% of girls in those levels doing them. I have an extreme lack of right arm flexibility due to surgery done on my arm 2022. Luckily, I can have enough flexibility...

Coaches Skills or examples of dance that use extreme shoulder flexibility

I have very stiff shoulders, but I would look at poses that YouTuber Anna Mcnulty does for inspiration. I don't have much knowledge on this sorry

WAG What percentage of the gymnasts at your gym end up having a serious injury?

Every gymnast especially at higher levels will always have some part of their body that will always cause issues. I would say in my gym by level 8/9 90% of girls have had some serious injury, but that doesn't mean they didn't heal from it.
