I had the same problem with my vault, I fixed it by thinking more about jumping up and less jumping at it, technically the springboard is designed at an angle to send you forwards, at least this is what I have been told. Don't let a bunch of corrections confuse you, vault is definitely...
If you don't use grips now, then you probably don't need them to tryout. It shouldn't affect wether or not you make it on the team, I'm in high school gymnastics, and I don't use grips. If you do make the team I'm sure your coach will tell you if you need them.
Good Luck! :)
That's a really interesting article, I once watched a montage of gymnastics for each decade and into the 21st century, honestly that video just kept getting more and more boring ;)
Okay, this isn't anything nutrition wise that will help, but This always seems to work for me. As soon as you wake up, jump out of bed and make your bed or do some simple aerobic exercises. Whenever I wake up and just lay there not wanting to get up my "sluggishness" just grows.
Wow your little six year old is very impressive! The gym may have placed her as a level one for now because she is not caught up on the other events besides floor (tumbling). It's as simple as that, but if her skills on the other events are closer to a level four such as her tumbling you may...
I'm always looking for a good poem or quote about gymnastics, but I could never find a prayer. I wanted a prayer I could say before/during/after practices and meets, so I wrote my own. I though I should share it with all of you. And I don't mean to offend anyone if it doesn't follow your...

The website should have all the information you need. :) good luck

Last night at my first gymnastics lesson ever....................
The place I go to is not a real gym, it's basically three coaches and three assistants that come from a gym up north, they use the school district's gymnastics equipment, and it takes place in a grade...
My first practice is today (I'm so excited :D) So does anyone have any quick advice
They would like to share: what to bring/wear what it might be like? I'm not sure
But I think it's more of a rec class. And I will post about it tomorrow
Are you going to camp, why or why not?
Where do you Plan on going and what week?
Have you had any camp experiences you want to share?
Whats your favorite thing about camp?
I heard about Flip Fest and I really wanted to go, so I was looking up different things about it on the Internet, when...
What do you think is the most important measurement for leotards; waist, hip, chest, or torso?
Are there certain leo companies where you always have to rember (ex. the length is usually to short, the hips are to wide, ect.) when buying a leotard?
Which companies do you prefer?
Have you ever...
