WAG How I save my worn out grips?

I have a meet next week and my new grips won't come for another 2 weeks. The little piece of leather between the two finger holes are tearing and I'm afraid it will rip soon. What can I do to make them last just a bit longer? I've been putting a little piece of tape on the leather part between...

    WAG Wisdom Teeth and Practice

I went to gym the day after I got my wisdom teeth out (all 4) and nothing bad happened. I just didn't do jumps or back tucks and stuff because that hurt my mouth when I landed.

    What's your opinion on this?

In college especially your first year you have a lot of open blocks (periods). Some days you may just have 2 classes at an hour each with the rest of the day doing whatever you want.

WAG Gymnasts: opinions of this jacket

I disagree with older girls wanting more fitted sweatshirts. All the girls on team here and kids at school in general like the more casual loose fitting oversized hoodies. Also pinnies are popular here in California too.

WAG Gymnasts: opinions of this jacket

When I say hoodie I mean like a pullover with the drawstrings. I like the loose fitting ones better, they look more casual and if you wear it out after gym practice in the cold, it doesn't cling to your skin (or sweat). Logos can go on the lower back or the front I guess. I like how it looks on...

WAG Gymnasts: opinions of this jacket

I too would prefer hoodies. They seem more sporty if that makes sense. I also like pinneys. Not many people wear them and they are in fashion today (kind of) especially in the summer over a tank top (or maybe even a Leo on your way to gym) they're fun to wear.

    WAG Soft rails

Hmm. I hope there is not too much of a difference especially at meets if they have the other type. I'm on the heavier 120-130 pound side.

    WAG Soft rails

What are soft rails exactly? I'm curios to see what our gym has. Do most gyms have soft?

    WAG Strange new leap

Around here we see it a lot in level 7. I think because they are simply fun to do. At our gym, whenever we have free time with the level 3 and 4s, they always insist on doing them

    Grip choices?

The 2nd day after using my grips, I got my kip. It was a happy day lol

    What's your opinion on this?

The question is though, will you really want to be competing much more simpler skills at 20 years old in college?

    Weird?

Mine do and I'm a level 8 gymnast and naturally flexible.

    Dance vs Gymnastics

I was a dancer before I did gymnastics and I loved both. However I think if you did gym for a while before doing dance, dance may be a bit harder. In gymnastics you at used to being strong, and tight whereas depending on that kind of dance, you are more flowy and carefree. However this might not...

WAG New level 6 bars questions.

So basically a bars routine for level 6 is no harder than a has routine for level 5.
  18. C

    how long?

I was able to do hs on beam since I was able to do a nice hs on floor. I don't think we really learned them, just did them one day. Front mill took about a month. Just need to practice on it.
