WAG Level 10 Junior or Senior Division 2017?

Would a Level 10 gymnast whose birthdate is October 2001 compete in the Junior division or the Senior division in 2017? I was under the impression that if they were turning 16 prior to 12-31-17 that they would have to compete all of 2017 as a senior. A gymnast recently competed at three meets...

No sneer intended, just my poor attempt at humor. I do think a non-compete is valid and reasonable in certain circumstances. I also believe that competition is a good thing. If I am not happy with the training my child is receiving it is good to have the option to go elsewhere.

I am not a coach but i have a feeling that most coaches aren't being lured like NBA players with cars money and free tuition or they would be driving better cars :). I am almost certain this wasn't the case here with this rec coach.

I wonder what circumstances would warrant a world renowned gymnastics giant to feel he needed to protect himself from a rec. coach. Maybe more details about the circumstances will come to light in the press. Filing a lawsuit must be expensive. As an aside Josh Koopman was a head coach at...

Coachmolly Did you leave the gym with which you signed the non-compete? If so, did it force you to move out of state to remain a gymnastics coach?

So it is not uncommon to have a coach doing recreational gymnastics sign a non-compete? Good to know... I wonder what USAG would think of that....

I have been there although it was quite a while ago. Also if you look on their website at the summer camp flyer the recreational programs are in building 2218 and the team gymnastics are in 2210.

Hmm, surely not everyone who has left relocated to another state to coach gymnastics.

I don't believe non-competes are common in the gymnastics industry. I was forced to sign a non-compete in a different industry but that should not preclude me from making a living and I would fight it if it did. My non-compete is way too broad and I believe this one is too. The burden of...

    WAG Chow files a lawsuit

@Becauseisaid why "Good on Chow for attempting it." The coach was a recreational gymnastics and dance coach. She did not coach team or Level 10 nor did she even work in the same building as Chow, which makes the claim of trade secrets even more implausible. The article states that coaches...
