I feel your pain. My advice is to video her. This lets her see her progress and makes it easier for you to not watch. My DD is horrid at dancing. Her team tells her she dances like a robot - lol! She just goes with it. I've learned that if it doesn't bother her, who am I to worry?
There are a couple of amusement parks around the country that are looking for people with these skills. Most of them have college kids working during their summer break.
We went the last 2 years. It was fun and well organized. I agree with the above. As a parent, I will say that I really appreciated that wine being sold at the concession stand. ;)
Thanks! I talked to her coach and it looks like DD will compete Gold this year. She is actually relieved because she was starting to feel too much pressure as a Platinum.
Eeek! My daughter just go moved up from JO 4 to platinum. She competed level 4 last year. So what you are saying is that she needs to score out of JO5 or Xcel Gold first?!?!
There have been a lot of good points made here but I wanted to add another. Sometimes we know we will have fun once we get someplace but we are just so comfy at home that we don't want to go. I was just complaining yesterday that I had to go out with my friends after work. I didn't feel like it...
I would but we fit in so well! LOL!!! We are in New England. Actually, people are trying to get into my town. You can't buy a house here. There are people who have stayed in hotels for a year or more just to get in. It is crazy!!!
I live in a crazy sport town. All sports go this many hours - all year round. In the other sports, they are considered separate seasons but they all have 4 seasons year round with crazy practice hours and weekend tournaments. It is hard to find a sport just for fun. Most kids are on 2 or 3 teams...
I'm so sorry to hear that! I'm a year out trying to recover from a TPF. There is a FaceBook group Tibial Plateau Recovery that has tons of information on this injury. There are different catagories of TPF depending on the severity. Did she have surgery? If so, how many plates and screws. It is a...
Ugh - my daughter just had a meet like that! My daughter just had her first meet and threw up in the parking lot beforehand. She said it was just nerves but she got worse as the meet went on. Her coach wouldn't let her compete beam because by then she couldn't even walk straight. Ends up she had...
I love hearing everyone's aspirations! I might jump on the being a bear bandwagon when I grow up! ;)
My daughter has decided that she will be getting a full ride to Boston College and spend summers down at Disney World, training to be the future CEO of Disney. She said she will take being the...
