    Parents Tackling a hard subject?

The progress that was lacking was down to my dd confidence within the larger group and rather than stand to meet the challenge of working with older girls she shied away from it this has been determined I never once said the group/coach was holding her back only that I wanted to discuss there...

    Parents Tackling a hard subject?

Update... The HC was so lovely when I discussed this today, she even suggested the younger advanced squad for my dd. I really needn't of worried about it as it was all handled so well and positively. My dd is over the moon and we get to stay at the gym that we love!!

    Parents Tackling a hard subject?

Your right I really don't want to discuss it as a progress issue as I don't know what I'm looking for really it's more an issue from my dd point if view, she's lost lots of confidence since starting the group and hasn't got it back. I'm just worried incase they refuse to move her and then I...

    Parents Tackling a hard subject?

I feel like I should say something but I feel a bit embarrassed and am worried that the conversation will have a negative impact on my dd. I'm usually happy with the gym but 6 months ago she changed squads and coaches...

    Parents UK newbie

Thanks scotsgirl, she does seem to be getting better at basics but I think she's a little disappointed about not learning new things. She will get there, she is determined and loves gym so I'm sure in time she will get to try new stuff x

    Parents UK newbie

She's 7 years old and thanks Faith, it makes a lot of sense that that would be the case, they seem to have gone back to basics with lots of repetition. I feel much better now that I can explain to her why she is not getting to try out some of the more challenging skills. Thanks again

    Parents UK newbie

Any help in this area would be appreciated. My dd has been doing gymnastics for about 2.5 years, we are from the uk and she is in an advanced squad. I'm not sure what level she is currently or what level she is currently working towards and I am a bit confused about why since joining the...
