Ice, ice, ice! Rest, rest, rest! And when she starts back have her use medical grade support tape! There are excellent videos on line of how to apply tape to help prevent re-injury... :)

My daughter attended Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and took elementary classes through public school. She had ballet 6 days a week and was exempt from PE due to both the physical activity she was doing and the risk of injury! That being said, her ballet classes were during school hours...

I agree!! It depends so much on your daughter's maturity as well as support from you, coaches, gym... My 11 year old was more focused and driven than a lot of adults I know. If she wants it, she will do it!
