    Time is definitely key here. Always doing splits on a line and getting them to check is your back leg on the line? Is your front knee facing the roof? Is your back knee on the line?

    Parents Question on judges notes...

    I think the 'squat' they are meaning in between flips. In her second flip her hands are coming underneath her feet. Where she need to sit back and lift her hips. I tell my gymnasts to "sit in there chair" before lifting hips and lengthening the flip.

    Sounds like you need to practise breaking the skill down as you are not quite ready for the skill together. Focusing on a leading toe rather then knee. Practise having your feet raised in a bridge and kicking over from there.

    Coaches Different types of chalk

    Is there two types of chalk? One being a more soft, crumbling chalk and one a more firm block. We have had gymnasts complaining that the chalk is 'soft' and it is harder to grip the bar. We buy all the chalk from the same supplier and often will be a hard and soft block in the same bulk purchase.

    WAG Spotting Bars- please correct me if I'm wrong

    In ALP level 3 gymnasts jump from a box to catch and 3 tap swings. It is mandatory for coach to stand between bars during a routine.

    Coaches Thumb position - uneven bars

    I have always switched naturally. when doing things like cast clear hip. The thumbs will naturally change from grasping around the bar to on top. But I was always told thumbs on top. And constantly am getting told to put them on top. So have gotten used to doing everything on top besides giants...

    If you don't already maybe look for a wrist support when you return such as tiger paws. I think you will be back in no time!

    Have not had this issue at the gym but still remember the days of head lice checks in primary school. Don't think I permanently got rid of them to I left for high school. [emoji23][emoji23]

    These are some great ideas. Unfortunately no pit but we do have lots of balls/bean bags these activities can be done with.
