    WAG Level 8 beam

Can you do 5 "B" skills and just 3 "A" skills instead of 4 A's and 4 B's? Also do you know the deduction if you don't have 4 A's and 4 B's? Thanks!

    Parents Level 8 Beam Question

My daughter is a new level 8 this year and I am still trying to understand the requirements and deductions for beam. Her routine : full turn BHS-BHS Sissone Back tuck split jump connected to a tuck jump w/ a 3/4 turn front tuck dismount. She has had a mental block with the round-off part of...

Parents Does this means they will place these levels?

From the meet website!!! ***Level 1-2 (awards go out 100 % 5 medals)*** Does this mean those levels will get 100% AA and 5 spots for event medals?

    WAG beam level 10

if a level 10 misses their connection on their ACRO series on beam what is the deduction, or what would their start value be, if they met all other requirements. Is it a .5 deduction like a fall, or is it more than 5 tenths?

Parents Level 8 Beam Start Value

Beam this year has been an emotional journey for DD. So....She is pivoting from bhs bhs for now just to do something to maybe get a routine together before the end of the season so she can qualify to regionals. She will score low 9s on vault and floor and 9.3-9.5 on bars so she really just needs...

    WAG Level 10 Beam Question

I’m a level 10 and am wondering about beam start values. Currently I’m doing a bhs-bt series, side aerial, back tuck, switch leap + straddle 1/4, straddle 3/4, and a layout gainer 1/1 dismount. My coaches took out one connection to avoid deductions but I’m curious about my SV now. Also, what is...

MAG Levels and general info (UK men's program?)

So my little man has been doing gym for a good 4 years. He’s 8 this year and only now about to do his first comp which is just floor and vault. The boys squad only has two and they are both the same age. We have no one to look up to or ask for info regarding comps etc So I was just wondering...

Parents College club gym options for a level 10?

My daughter hopes to do college gym. I am also hoping she will pick the best school for her academically. To broaden the college search, I am wondering if there are any (and which) club teams would be a fit for a level 10 JO gymnast? She is not in need of a scholarship. She is a very strong STEM...

    Parents Level 4 hours?

My 7yo is about to start practicing for level 4. She likes gymnastics, but she doesn't 'live and breathe' gymnastics like some girls do. I think she's decent at it. They are about to start 12 hours/week training, but the scheduling isn't firm yet. I know this is the low-end of average practice...

Parents First level 9 meet concerns

Hi, my 12 year old dd will be competing her first level 9 meet in a few weeks. She has strong skills, and is very much of a perfectionist. She works every night after practice for example on perfecting her leaps, points, split jumps at home so that she doesn't receive any deduction on those...

    WAG Blinds for level 9

Hi, my daughter is training level 9 and working on blinds, but not to front giants, rather to switching direction and doing back giants, so like 2 blinds and 3 giants in a row. She needs it in 2 months from now and currently does it with a spot on high bar. Is there a chance she could be...

WAG Can you move down a level in Xcel?

Hello, New here but have read the forums when looking for advice. My child was moved to Xcel Gold while not having all of the needed skills. She competed Silver for the last two seasons( a couple meets before covid hit and then only a few virtual meets last season) and her gym said they...

Parents Questions about switching gyms for higher level of training…

I’m beginning to question whether we need to look at other gyms for my daughter (8 yo training level 4, coming off a very successful level 3 season). This is a tough one too, as we absolutely love our current gym. We have friends there, the coaches are loving and kind, and I fully trust that my...

WAG UK catch up after the British, Classic Challenge, Challenge Qualifier and New Levels

Catch up on everyone's thoughts after the recent national competitions and regional levels. What do we all think? Did BG pitch the levels right? What do we think will change next year? Did clubs in your area pitch their gymnasts correctly? What would you like to see change next year?

Parents Anyone else not know what level?

Since the board has been slow for a while now, I thought I'd throw this out there. :) Does anyone else not know what level your child will be competing at? And are they close to competition season? It’ll be fine either way, but I wish I knew for planning/travel reasons. I feel bad for my dd...

WAG Start value question, Level 10 bars

My friend had a question about her daughter's start value on bars. She is working jaeger but it's not ready. Current routine is jump to high bar, kip cast to hs, pac, pirouette right into toe hecht, kip cast to handstand, giant giant, full out dismount. I say it's 9.9 They *think* it's 10.0...

Parents Easiest level 8 routines beam and floor

So my kid was doing great then had some allergy issues that have limited practice and stunted progress (two months of missed or short practice) going into the season. What are some easy skills that can get her a 10 value or close on beam and floor (bars and vault are good). Beam- has standing...

WAG Knee braces an level 7 question

I have a two part question and I hope that is okay?! I don’t post often but I’m grateful to be able find support in reading the same situations we have at home.
