Parents How long are college meets?

I'm trying to decide if we have time to catch a D1 gymnastics meet before our flight.

It depends... we saw one meet that was just 2 teams - it went fairly quickly.
The next meet we saw had men and women (2 teams for each) and it wasn't as fast.
I would think a couple hours depending on when you start counting the time

all we have been to - between 2 and 5 teams - have been at least 2.5 hours long. give yourself 3.5 hours and you should be good. you could always leave early too.

I'm pretty sure the one I'm looking at is 2 teams.

It depends on how the meet is run. They usually compete 5 or 6 girls ( I can't remember) on each event and the lowest score is dropped. If it's 2 teams usually only 1 girl competes at a time. When there are more than 2 teams they all compete at the same time. There is also a break (about 15 minutes after the first 2 events). You can also enter the arena an hour before it starts and watch part of practice, see the teams introduced and get situated. Then they have awards and it goes pretty quick as only 1st place is announced. If you get there right when it starts I would say for 2 teams about 2 hours.

Quicker than or children's meets! LOL I went to one of GA gymdawgs (only against one team) and was surprised at how quick it was.
