Didn't you have to be 16 or turn 16 during the Olympics?

I thought I read somewhere they have to turn 16 by the end of the Olympic year (Dec 31st). I could be wrong.

The rule is the gymnast must turn 16 sometime during the year. So for 2012 Olympics, must turn 16 by December 31, 2012.
