Quick education please?

I've never fully watched any Worlds, or even the Olympics (other than zooming through DVR to see who I wanted to see.)

Do I have it right that
a) certain girls are picked on certain events to compete as one cohesive team?
b) certain girls are picked to compete individually in all 4 events as AA?
and then
c) certain girls are picked to compete in separate events as event finals?

I know, I probably sound quite ignorant on this front, but I've always wondered the different broadcasting, and why some girls compete a couple of different times, and some don't, but I never had the wonderful CB family to ask

During the qualifications round three things happen:
1- top 8 teams qualify to team finals
2- top 8 girls on each event qualify to event finals (max 2 per country); vaulters have to do 2 vaults.
3- top 8 girls that competed on all 4 events and got the highest total score qualify to all-around finals.

During team final, the coaches can choose the line-up however they want. However they do not get to pick the girls that compete in event finals or all-arounds, except to the extent that they pick them to compete on those events, or on all four events, during qualifying.

Isn't top 24 girls go to all-around finals?

24 makes more sense. Is it 6 girls per 4 events? Thanks!

Off the top of my head, I think it is 8 per event finals, 24 for the all-around.

Right. I know 8 for event finals but I guess I was trying to remember for AA if they rotate the 4 events in groups of 6.
