I did a lot of trampoline jumping today. After jumping I laid down on the trampoline a litte, and when I wanted to get up, my mid back hurt.

It is fine when walking or lying. It hurts when I round my back a lot, but when I arch it's better. It also gets worse when I put my chin towards my chest, especially with my back round. It is not a sharp pain or something, more pulling and dull along the whole mid back. It is not on the spine directly, but on both sides of the mid whole back equally, but it does not cover the rips. There is nothing tender to touch, no tingling, numbness or bruising.

Has anyone an idea what it could be?

Stop everything until you've seen a doctor.

Family doctor said it is just some strained muscles (erctor spinae) and it will go away in a few days, nothing to worry. Should I still see a specalist? It will take some days to get an appointment anyways.
Could this be something serious? Ever experienced somewthing like that??

Well, wait a few days and see if it goes away. If it does, all good. If not, go back to the doc.

It sounds like a pinched nerve. Yes see a doctor for sure and try to stay still as much as possible.
If it's pinched then moving makes it worse. I hope u get help for it. Heal fast.

There are many things it could be. Pain in that area can be caused by a nerve that's being squeezed a bit in either your lower back or neck. Yeah I know, if it's a nerve in your low back or neck, that's where it should hurt. Sensations of pain travel from an injury to the brain along nerve pathways that eventually merge into the spinal cord and then to the brain. That path is not a one way street, so it's possible to send pain to an area when a nerve gets irritated along a pathway.

When you strain muscles or ligaments along your spine there is swelling in the area of strain, and if that swelling puts pressure on a nerve coming out of the spinal cord the pain may be felt where ever that nerve ends, or in the muscles it serves. There are nerves that branch out from both your neck and low back that serve muscles between and under your shoulder blades. Pain caused through that process will continue until the swelling gets reduced enough to take the pressure off the nerve. That means healing through rest and corrective exercises that I know little about, so don't ask me what to do with that.

What I've described a common problem and maybe not what's causing your pain, so don't consider it a diagnosis because I'm not a doctor, and certainly not a neurologist, back specialist, or orthopedist. Following your family doctors advice is a good start, but go to a specialist if you rest a day or two more than the doc suggests and the pain comes back when you go back to being active.

I'm not a gymnast at all, but this weekend have had all the same symptoms you have described. I also haven't been feeling that great - some headaches, which are unusual for me, and very fatigued. No fever, but I suspect I have some kind of mild virus of some sort. I'd probably also wait a few days and see if it gets better or not.
