    It depends on the meet. I'm in your state and some of them give AA Gold/Silver/Bronze banded medals on top of a banded ribbon for each event.

    I have a splits goal for myself. I'm racing against some of the kids (they don't know they're involved in my race) and an impending birthday next year that will make me "old" ;) There will be a big post here if I manage it! :D

    I wouldn't speak to the coach, you've done that, they've answered. Their answer indicates that they see potential. They've already shown that they will move girls to higher hours when they are ready. Sounds like yours will be moved up when she is ready. They are doing the right thing in waiting...
