I have hurt my left wrist at least 3 times doing back handsprings on low beam by myself. My left hand is behind my right hand when I grab the beam, and will slip too far to the right and twist. It's bothering me because this time when it happened, I couldn't do back handsprings on beam for a week, and competition season is coming up, so I need to e workin on them. Does anyone have any tips for preventing this??

you are probably stepping out/down with your right foot first?

then try placing your left hand in front of your right hand. it will work better and not cause you pain.
