Hi there. Is the level 7 vault judged the same as a level 6 or 5? If a gymnast consitently gets 9's as a 6 can she expect to get 9's as a 7 as well?
Thanks.

I believe (though I don't have the rules in front of me) that the deductions are significantly larger for making the same errors at 7.

Generally, the vault is the same so the deductions are based off of the same thing but a lot harsher. Example: having a spot on your vault in level 5= 2.00 deduction ;HOWEVER; having a spot on your vault in level 6= vault is void.

So technically, I'd watch out for the same things to avoid deductions, but also I'd be a bit stricter about what you can and can't let slide.

I got nines in level 6 and then in level 7 on vault, but that was because my vaults inmproved a lot... most of the time, the judges look at the same things, but take off a bigger deduction.
