Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, there’s now videos of him abusing. Hopefully they haven’t they haven’t made it out into circulation. What s nightmare for those girls.

I have had this thought after the first male survivor came out. I was thinking that him recording and selling his acts was what he was doing. All the childporn on his computer. Guess we will never know. It's terrible.

Maybe it's not a good sign when an institution appears not to be taking its Title IX responsibilities seriously.

My academic friends are also appalled and enraged by the news that MSU spent more than half a million dollars to monitor social media. Think of what that money could have done for the students, faculty, and staff there in a time of tight budgets.

I got through it. It is really horrible. The worst thing about it for me is that I know he's not the only one. He's just the one we are seeing now.

Okay so I just read the article , but what I don't understand is why the parent didn't take the child in for X-rays ? Keep in mind that my parents take the kids in to the Dr for everything , bruise , bump, broken fingernail . Anyways you get the jist. So that particular part of the complaint against him does not add up with my own experience with parents and kids. , not defending but that particular complaint is an error on all fronts.
If I told one of my parents not to get an X-ray they would get two.

I know!!! I mean I can understand why the gymnasts put up with the abuse because they're kids and easy to control through fear but the parents...I just can't wrap my head around it. If my child attempted suicide, there is NO WAY she would be going back. Similarly the one with the broken neck, or the one thrown on the bars who incurred the stomach injuries, etc. All this for college scholarships

I couldn’t understand that part either. I cannot possibly fathom being in their situation, but I sure hope if my child felt so desperate as to take pills, that I wouldn’t even think for a second of putting her back in that environment. It seemed like she already had a scholarship and was leaving for college soon- did they just have her go back for the sake of that, assuming she would be leaving soon? *Adding that there is no college scholarship that would convince me to send my child back, just trying to understand possible motivation.

I don’t like to judge and place blame on parents, but I just can’t imagine being ok with letting my daughter return to a coach who I just witnessed throwing her into the bars. Or one who caused her to overdose, college scholarship or not.

I gotta think that some of the parents were brain-washed and caught up in the fantasy that Geddert represented and promised. It doesn't take more than a bump back a page or two to see a parent confess on here about how their inner CGM almost escaped. Even the most level-headed parent is going to deal with that at some point. Geddert was a master manipulator and when you are living it, it's very hard to see the forest for the trees, kwim? I don't blame the parents, it's heartbreaking all the way around.
