It depends on the meet. I'm in your state and some of them give AA Gold/Silver/Bronze banded medals on top of a banded ribbon for each event.

I wouldn't speak to the coach, you've done that, they've answered. Their answer indicates that they see potential. They've already shown that they will move girls to higher hours when they are ready. Sounds like yours will be moved up when she is ready. They are doing the right thing in waiting...

I think the point was more to not worry about the level and just aim to improve. I think the numbers were just examples rather than anything else.
