My dd is almost 7. She has never competed and is training 9-12 hours per week for level 3/4. She LOVES practice and her coaches but absolutely does not want to compete - only wants to train. So much so, in fact, that she would rather quit than compete. She says that she doesn't want to go...
Just found out today that escalating heel pain in 6 year old DD is Sever's. She has OU camp this Sunday through Thursday (commuter) . Doc recommended rest but thought camp would be manageable if it is the highlight of her summer. Any advice?

My dd is training to compete new level 4 in January which means she will skip level 3. She didn't practice/learn level 3 bar skills or routines. I assume this means she doesn't have to test out of level 3 to compete level 4?

So many of your DD's are 5/6/7 years old doing kips, cartwheel on beam, and skills my DD has never been introduced to at practice. I am not in CGM mode but just curious if her coaches are abnormally slow at increasing skills or moving girls at an average pace.

Anyone have a kiddo going to OU gymnastics camp this summer? Or, have a child who has gone in the past? Grandparents treated my dd to the the camp. We have no idea what to really expect.
