About a year ago this happened to one of my pre comp kids. After falling she stands up, holding herself there and says "WOW, my _ _ _ _ _ _ really hurts!" The real technical term, so funny thoough, LOL Funniest thing ever!!
I agree with the center of gravity thing as I have heard this at my gym as well. We used them once, girls LOVED them. All we did was like 0.5 - 1 pound weights on our ankles while doing handstands.
Looking for front handspring drills that 6/7 year olds could do.
They are just starting and tend to land in a squat. So far: I've been spotting them thru the motions slowly, been having them try them off a panel mat or crash mat onto the floor, been having them do flysprings on tumble track...

Imagine you were in a narrow tunnel on high beam to help you ge your legs up over the beam, not scooting around the side.
