I saw this on facebook a couple of days ago and then looked up her story. She is definitely inspiring! I admire her courage and strength and her amazing attitude.
She is a level 7 gymnast from Illinois and she had acute myeloid leukemia , diagnosed in 2011. She developed an infection in the knee joint and needed the leg amputated...since then has been in remission, relapse and is now in remission again...the video is from the Bravo Classic, where she competed two events!!
We were at this meet and I saw her up close and personal! I was coaching our team on floor while she was going on beam. It was amazing just to be in the same room as her, none the less, about 10 feet away! The energy in the room gave me goose bumps!!! All eyes were on her and deservingly so. She was OUTSTANDING and such an inspiration to everyone in the room!!!!
