My DD has begun complaining of back pain. It has been going on for about 1 week. The pain is worse in the morning when it is compounded by stiffness. Rubbing/massaging her back with a lot of pressure feels good to her. The bulk of Pain is thoracic in location and does not radiate to either leg.
There have been a few girls in her gym with stress fractures, so this comes to mind first and foremost. However, I hate to assume the worst.
Are there any PT's, trainers, coaches or Docs out there That can say that this pain sounds more muscular than skeletal?
How long should I wait to make an appt with the team orthopod?

Any back pain warrants a check up. It could be minor now and, if caught early, will stay that way. Get her looked at ASAP.
