i am parent of our clubs oldest gymnast. i have been here a while!
Christmas show. everyone from little ones in rec to elite.
awards for rec - overheard mother moaning about why her dd hadn't got best newcomer award and how much less deserving the winner was.!
got told she is relative of one of the young coaches. wanted to make hc aware of dissatisfied parent but i was talked out of it.she was so negative and i really am persuaded that this type of parent will not hack it as time goes on. little Susie will be hard done by in all the comps and leave the sport. shame that mom is so competitive at her dd young age and may end up leaving something her dd obviously enjoys and displays a natural aptitude for because a silly Christmas award in house is not given to her child.
