I have a relatively new, mixed ability rec group. The most advanced girl has now got her fwdroll, cartwheel, hdst, full spin on hb while the rest are still on the low beam or even floor with all those skills. I'm wondering what skills to work on next ?? She has the basic jumps but the other (pike, straddle) wouldn't be decent enough to move to beam also can't yet do bwo alone on floor. Seems like a strange question but actually struggling!

The next step is a back walkover, so you'll have to work with her to get it on the floor so she can move it up.

You can also work back extension roll, which is the substitute skill for people who can't do a back walkover (usually due to back or shoulder problems).
Back and front tuck dismounts if she has back and front tucks on tramp.
Not sure why pike and straddle jumps are out of the question - you can also work split leaps and switch leaps if she's ready.
Inside turns.
Side handstands - step downs, straddle downs.
Handstand pirouettes.
Fwd roll with arms out to the side.

RO on beam, backward roll, RO dismount (off of the side of the beam), these might be good options. Also dance moves like arabesque.
Would she be a candidate for pre team or maybe Xcel at your gym? Sounds like she would be about ready for something like that depending on her skills on the other apparatuses. Unless her family is just not interested in the team track.

What about giving her a challenge to create a routine with the skills she has?
Give her some basic requirements such as 3 acro skills, 3 dance skills a mount and a dismount.

Our most advanced rec gymnasts will work:

Mounts:
Jump to front support, lift leg over to sit in star, lift to straddle hold
Squat on
Squat through
Straddle on
Straddle over
Japana

Acro:
Forward Roll
Free Roll
Cartwheel
Handstand/Split handstand/Stag handstand
Backward walkover

Next would be
Roundoff
Flick to 1

Dance:
Arabesque
Y balance
Needle Scale
Splits on the beam
Full spin
Stretch jump
Tuck jump
Split jump
Split leap
Cat leap

Dismounts:
Roundoff
Handspring
Punch front
Tuck back (with or without carthweel)

Hope that helps!
