Off Topic Canadian help

Outside of the gym, my DD participates in Girl Scouts. Every year they have Thinking Day, where they pick a country and present cultural items, foods, and anything relating to scouting in that country.

Our theme for Thinking Day this year is Canada. My DD's troop is in charge of making a presentation on scouting in Canada. This can be the uniforms, pledge, promise, flag, anthem, Girl Guides,....

I know this forum has many Canadian followers so I thought I would ask here if anyone had any info that they could share.

Here is the Canadian girl guides website. Home - Girl Guides of Canada I am sure if the girls sent off en email they would get lots of info.

THis is the scouts canada site http://www.scouts.ca/dnn/.

I know in the UK guides was for girls and scouts was for boys, I do not know if is the same in Canada.

Usually Guides is for girls and Scouts is for boys, though girls sometimes do join Scouts.

Sorry I'm Canadian but none of my children have been involved with Scouts or Girl Guides.
