Compression fracture

I'm an adult gymnast, recently diagnosed with a compression fracture in my vertabrae. I am out of gymnastics for 2-3 months. The doctor didn't feel it was serious enough to wear a brace, just restrict activity. I was just wondering if anyone has had this and how you did afterwards.

I've never dealt with this exact thing, but I have dealt with spondylosis (slipped vertebrae sorta). I was out for 4 months (I was still in classes so it didn't matter lol) and when I came back I had no pain.
