It is only a 0.05 deduction. Such a small deduction it really only comes into play when judges want to differentiate between really good routines. A great routine that does include forward skills should beat an equally great routine that lacks this variety.

Call me dense today, but what is a "forward" skill in bars? I didn't know there were "forward" or "backward" skills on bars.

Examples are: circling skills where you go forward over the bar - ie front giants, forward stalder circles or release skils that start from same postion - ie Jaeger, Khorkina

you got it covered.^^^^^^^^^^^^^and don't forget the Deltchev. the judges usually do...LOL.:)
