Dr Gerald Geroge

Has anybody had any experience with Dr Gerald George? He was at our gym yesterday and he did amazing work with the girls. He really encourged my daughter and helped her with her vault. I asked what he was able to say that her coaches hadn't and she said he really broke it down and explained the concepts in multiple ways. She was having problems getting her hands back fast enough to the table on her yurchenko. He said it was more of a whip than a backhand spring onto the table. He told her that if she fixed this one thing she could be the most powerful vaulter in the gym. She was positively glowing!

I haven't met him personally, but he wrote one of the best textbooks out there on gymnastics training, which I refer to frequently (when I haven't lent it out to other coaches at the gym, which I also do frequently).

That book is on my "Must buy ASAP" list, unfortunately it's been overtaken by text books. Now that it's received your seal of approval I want it even more!

I looked it up.....definitely text book cost! $79! He is our head coaches mentor...He told us that he opened Gymstrada in Virginia Beach. I guess it is a small world because my DD started gymnastics in Virginia Beach!

i have worked with him personally. anything that he has written is worth the read.
