I have a front handspring to two feet and a stepout and I have almost a FHS stepout FHS. On the trampoline or airtrack I can easily do bounders.

I have never tried a front handspring on vault. Is a bounder on tramp a lot different?

How long does this usually take to get a decent vault FH?

The most important thing in vault is the approach.
  • Do you know how to hit a springboard?
  • Do you have a pit mat to work front handsprings to your back with your vault run?
  • Do you have vault steps?

Shouldn't be a problem if you run and hit the board properly.

There isn't really drills you can do at home besides board/floor punching drills for punch front.
