Holy crap! I hope not. One of my DDs former coaches is on there with that designation and her friends are still at his gym.I’m not 100% sure but googling a couple names that have that listed leads me to believe it is related to molestation or child pornography.
What I posted above was a specific coach’s disciplinary record on safe sport- it’s pretty specific. Unfortunately. I marked out his name because I didn’t want to break a rule.I search "SafeSport Code for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movement, IV.A"
and found this:
IV. ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITY A. Exclusive authority—sexual misconduct The Office has the exclusive authority to investigate and resolve conduct involving (a) sexual misconduct; and (b) prohibited conduct under the Code that is reasonably related to the underlying allegation of sexual misconduct. Exclusive authority means (a) only the Office will investigate and manage any related arbitration involving sexual misconduct; and (b) neither the NGB nor the USOC will conduct its own investigation or arbitration with respect to possible sexual misconduct, except as otherwise provided.
USAG associated that to their bylaw 10.14(b)
Not much help but is saying sexual misconduct. That is how I interpreted it.
No need. The above gave me all the info I needed. That’s a good general idea though.@MILgymFAM I guess you could check sexual offender directories.
If you have reason to believe someone on the permanently ineligible list is still in any way involved with a gym, you should report it.
He has not been coaching since he was suspended, but everyone there was waiting for him to come back- they totally believed him.If you have reason to believe someone on the permanently ineligible list is still in any way involved with a gym, you should report it.
Also remember things stay on the internet forever. Just because it's there doesn't mean its current.Has anyone ever googled some of these permanently ineligible names? I just did a few and I found that some of the searches return names as contacts at gyms. I guess this could be two people with the same name? Still feeling ill.
That’s true. In the case to which I’m referring, the coach is still listed as owner and head coach on the live website. I’m sure they’ll have to change it soon- he was put on the permanently ineligible list just this month. Also remember things stay on the internet forever. @meganliz77 good points. The few names from the list I google all had convictions and details could be found from local news outlets. I recall a thread on the chalk bucket that discussed how someone made it to the ineligible list. I am not a lawyer nor do I know anything about law, but it seems it would be hard to support the legality of the ineligible list if the evidence did not exist.

He's still coaching? Sort of misses the point of permanently ineligible?Holy crap! I hope not. One of my DDs former coaches is on there with that designation and her friends are still at his gym.
