Usually due to illness or injury that kept the gymnast from competing at states. Documents are submitted that show she obtained a score of , I think , 35 and doctor describing the injury. I looked into it a little since my dd L 9 got injured during the season. I wanted to see what she needed for states but she is still not able to compete so no petition here .

Same here on both boys' and girls' side -- show evidence that they hit the score previously plus documentation of an injury.

My dd was petitioned into L10 Regionals last year due to an injury. You have to have a meet that you scored at least a 35 (1pt higher than the AA required to get into Regionals). You have to have a doctor's note that describes injury and I believe that it has to have a estimated release date. My dd's petition was accepted and she was released by doctor 2 weeks before Regionals last year.
