Does anyone know and can you provide any reference on this?

What is the age someone can time at a qualifier? Our club is saying that it is a GO rule that it has to be 12 but the reference I found does not specify an age.

Anyone?

Thanks

I don't know if there is an actual rule but as a guideline, I'd say 12 because you want them to be able to understand what they're doing

No specific minimum age, but if it is truely timing, there is no way I would EVER leave that job to a child. The timing job is important and should be an adult-only job.

The judges at our home meet always tell us age 16. However, we have used a younger gymnast to help time on beam where we have one adult timing the routine and a helper timing the falls.

When I worked at Elite Canada, it was 16 for timing. I think that 16 was the youngest age for any of the jobs unless they were with an adult.
