Bail, hect catch, straddle back, shaposh, Maloney in my opinion are bar changes. Jeager, Tkatchev, Gienger, hop full are release moves.

It is really simple...

you release the bar and catch a bar.

I think the confusion comes from the fact that rules (at top level) ask for 'same bar release/flight' and a 'bar change (with flight)'

Now if you want to get confusing, you could always ask about hop fulls.

So I'm asking  My daughter said she starting working on hop fulls, but I have no idea what it is!

I like hop fulls! They are fun to watch but very very quick. Courtney Kupets used to have one in her routine. So what makes them extra confusing Dunno?

a hop full is not that confusing. i think Pineapple meant confusing from a requirement stand point...same bar/ release/ flight and so on.

a hop full is nothing more than a giant full (blind full) with no hands performed on and over the same bar.
