my hand ripped the other night while on bars, it was a bloody one. ( this was saturday) and now its red and isnt bleeding anymore though, if i put vitamin e on it, and put it in a plastic bag from like the grocery store on it while i sleep, will it get infected since its an open wound? ( i think)

anti-biotic resistent bacteria and gym protocal

You should never have an open wound in the gym. The risk of getting an infection increases for you. But it also increases the risk for your team mates. Anti-biotic resistent bacteria is becomming more and more common. You need to wash the wound and apply both an antiseptic and anti-biotics. Then the wound should be covered and taped.

Your gym should have a protocol for dealing with this. If they don't they are remiss and will rue the day when a parent sues.

Vitamin E is not a substitue for soap and water, an antiseptic or an antibiotic.

This all may sound a bit drastic. But it will serve to keep you and your team mates safe.

Always have a LEAST a band-aid on it at gym.
Something we do at my gym is put hot tea bags on it.
It does not help me but for some it does.
You should put neosporan(spelling?) on it.
