In the required connection of a dance element with a leap to a 180-degree split plus a second (dance or acro) element, if the second element is not done in proper form, does the athlete lose not only the possible connection bonus but also the half point for the Special Requirement? (The specific example here is a nice switch ring into a tour jete/ring leap with 1/2 turn, where the second element is done with the front leg perhaps not even at 45 degrees.)
