DS is going to his first team day camp next week. We've been told to bring healthy snacks (high carb, low sugar snacks; fruits) drinks and lunch. Lunch is optional for two days- one field trip they are going to a trampoline park and doing a pizza lunch, the other to the beach and doing a lunch at a popular lunch spot. What are some great recommendations for snacks and lunches? Any advice for a first time camper?
It's from 9-5 M-F and they have some excellent things planned: team bonding for the boys, nutrition class, hygiene class, practices, specialists coming in, two field trips (see above) and a field trip to see a former olympic athlete and experience men's elite level training. I think my son is most excited about that, as it's one of his two favorite gymnasts that he will be meeting.
We'll let him do the optional field trip lunches (as most boys will be doing that), but I want to make sure he's taking good solid snacks and whatever else he needs for the rest of the week. This is his first time to go to day camp, he's done VBS, school, and parents night out at gyms, and he is super excited to be part of the team and invited/included in this team camp.
Thanks!
