I am working on toe touches, I'm pretty flexible, but I am having trouble getting my legs up very high. I know that gymnasts do a similar straddle split jump on the beam and I was wondering what muscles should focus on strengthening? Is it my abs and calf/quad muscles? What muscles are really need to complete that kind of jump?
I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense, I'm late for class. If it doesn't make sense, I can detail in like an hour and a half... But any help till then would be awesome cause I plan on working out this afternoon.
