WAG A question for a francophone

I have an assignment in French to make up a contest, so of course I'm doing a handstand contest. I know we have quite a few Canadians on here...so...anyone know how to say handstand in French? My parents speak French but not gymnastics.

We call it une équilibre. You could also say un appui tendu renversé or ATR. We most often use équilibre though.

Catou is right, but just a precision, the formal way to say it should be "un équilibre".. A lot of people use "une" around here but it's a regional thing, if you look it up in a dictionary you'll find it's a masculine word. Good luck with your presentation, it sounds like fun

Sophiagymgall is right... Looks like I'll say un équilibre now... it a bit like trampoline. We should say un but almost everybody says use.
