Ok so I just got new grips and the finger holes are too small. It said to use sandpaper and I did. It took me 2 hours to do 1 hole. Does anyone know any other ways of doing this without hurting the grips? Thanks!
I have found for myself to make it easier is to concentrate on one area and widen that. Initially work around the entire hole and then because my fingers are shaped a little weirs I worked the inside part of the holes and it didn't take too long
I use a knife but I don't cut the grip; I just use the blade and my wrist like I would sandpaper. It's a lot faster and I had my last pair of grips for over a year and the finger holes didn't rip at all. Make sure you leave the holes a little tight when you make them bigger because the leather will stretch a little when you start breaking them in.
