WAG How to calm/relax day before meet?

Hello, I'm looking for some tips for how to calm down the day before a competition, I'm a level 7/8 gymnast and I suffer from nerves a lot. So any tips would be gratefully appreciated, also, snack ideas to take to a long meet, as the meet and travel is very long I need some carbohydrate and natural energy foods? Thanks!
 
What have you done up to this point? my gymmies try to focus on anything BUT gymnastics the day before a meet (unless they are begging for open gym)... but then, it is mostly to play around with stuff they wont be doing in the meet, lol.
They sometimes read, or listen to music, or both.

As for food - fruit, nuts, trail mix, etc.
