I'm sorry, but why is this ok?? I get it, she isn't charged with anything, she isn't in the banned list, but for goodness sake, why would anyone want her coaching at their gym or coaching their children?!?!

If I were a Twistar parent , I would be out of there in a hot second....Nassar was at Twistars and got away with what he did for so long and while he is gone now, you're going to HIRE the person who defended this monster?! Sorry, I don't care how good that gym or any of the other coaches are, their philosophy is just wrong, period.

I would think that someone in USAG admin would step in and put a kibosh on this as well as Twistars is registered under the USAG umbrella. If Geddert wants to go rogue and not be a USAG gym, that's on him but no way should this be happening at a USAG gym in 2017.

Both Geddert and Klages are named in separate civil suits. I can only imagine that they are highly aware that this just looks horrible for them both, so I think they just don't give a damn and maybe are doing it on purpose. I'd yank my kid, except she would have already been gone last year. Just unbelievable. '

I honestly wonder how many parents will even know anything about it. Chalkbucket aside, most gym parents seems absolutely clueless.

This is all over the news, (at least where I am) so it would be really hard for parents in the area of that gym to not know.

I definitely didn't take it as mean! I haven't watched the news in years, to be honest, and if it weren't for this site I wouldn't know about the stuff going on. I've known gym parents who don't even have a clue of who Simone Biles is, even. I guess it's different where you live, from the sound of it.

There really aren't unless you're up for about an hours drive. I predict Twistars will be sold/under new management within a year.

An hour's drive isn't much to ensure that your child isn't with these creeps anymore at Gedderts...it would be that or pick a new sport because we're not staying there...

That's the #1 problem IMHO. She should have been put on the USAG banned list, at least for the time being. The allegations sound very serious to anyone with common sense... but obviously not to the USAG.

Nassar still isn't on the banned list. Neither is a coach who got fired from this area for assault charges (outside the gym).
I wonder how often it's updated.

(This list is also included each month in Technique Magazine which is sent to professional members and I believe included in USA Gymnastics magazine which is sent to ALL USAG Members including athletes)

Was Nassar ever a USAG member? He was USAG Staff, but I don't know if USAG can actual ban someone who was never a USAG member...anyone know ?!?

I get that Klages hasn't been "charged" with anything (yet), and she was duped by her long time friend Nassar (they reportedly went to high school together) but read the interview former Geddert/MSU gymnast Lindsay Lemke and her mom gave to a Michigan paper I believe on Klages behavior and you'll want to vomit...she encouraged the MSU girls to sign a card "in support" of Nassar after he was charged, told Lindsay and her mom that the mountains of porn he had were "planted " by a disgruntled person; that the vaginal "techniques" he used were above board etc...basically called the family out for saying what Nassar did.

In my book, she shouldn't be allowed around ANY kids, gymnasts or otherwise, if her judgement is so poor...
