Now that summer holiday is starting, there will be no practice for the next 6 weeks (that's how long our summer holiday is). Tonight was the last practice for this group. I just got this gift from one of the girls I coach. The card says: happy holidays. Thank you for everything. Love from ........

This feeling of appreciation is what makes it all worth it

I know! Some days I just suddenly realize how happy the kids (or actually teens) make me most of the time, I might be in the middle of something and just realize it out of the blue. Today it was when I brought in popsicles at the end of the 3 hour practice on the hottest day of this summer so far and one of my 17 year old teens got so happy and surprised that she asked "Why are we treated so kindly and well?". Oh it made my heart as warm as the gym, LOL. The girls worked hard through the sweat and heat and still they were so humble that they didn't get why I wanted to give them a little treat.
