WAG What was wrong with this bar routine.

Obviously, the step was a deduction. What level are you? (6? Xcel?) That makes a difference in what the deductions were. If 6, the casts weren't high enough.

I thought it would count as an extra cast and be a small deduction? Our coaches always told us that, but recommended it to get the cast requirement. I may be wrong of course. :)

No, this is in xcel, but I see what you mean

I'm in Xcel too. :) Then again, the requirements/rules are so confusing. One meet you do something no problem, the next you get a 5 tenth deduction. :p

I totally know what you mean. Every time except one I had no problems with my music, then I got a deduction for overtime!

You need to be hollow in your casts, and the casts were low. Piking and weak tap swings. Also, your flyaway was below high bar. The step on landing was the easiest to correct, I would concentrate on the casting and tap swings. A stronger tap swing will take care of the flyaway height issue.

Don't know if you got credit for a horizontal cast. There was no horizontal cast. But maybe the judge gave the one after the back hip. If they didn't give it, you would see a lowered SV. They would generally write this on your scorecard. Did you get your scorecard and/or see what your SV was? I'm curious if it was a 10. While a 9.7 seems high for this routine, on execution alone in my area for Xcel I would expect it to score higher than a 9.2. Maybe a 9.5. So I wonder if she gave the cast out of the back hip but with execution for the arch (FYI, it probably shouldn't be given per rules for determining cast height - height determined by the lowest body part). The other two casts would receive deductions for being slightly piked and you could take overall amplitude.

Btw, I don't believe you are old enough to be on here. There's no rhyme or reason for giving out your name and videos of yourself that contain way more identifying information than just saying you are 13. So, I would have to assume from that that you are lying. I could probably use that YouTube account to find your full name and age.

You big-time piked your high bar cast. This is Xcel, right? I'm not sure of the requirements. In any event, you have to be a certain age to post here, and you don't get to keep your age a secret. You don't look any older than either of my girls, so I bet you're not old enough.

A step on you landing for your dismount
You need more height in your flyaway, it should come up above bar height
Toes were not pointed in your flyaway
There was almost no tap in your swing that lead into the flyaway
There needs to be more tap on your previous tap swing
You are piked in your back hip circle
The cast out of your kip was quite low
The next cast had a poor shape

Don't get me wrong it was a good routine, you did a great job, but there is always lots to work on.
