    Parents don't laugh - what's a "troll"?

Bravo! I've never seen the term "fora" used, much less used correctly. My wife who minored in Latin would be very proud of you. Sorry, please excuse the minor highjack.

    Parents Switching gyms

I find it odd that a gym that only goes up to Level 8 would have that kind of language in their handbook. What happens when a gymnast is ready to go to Level 9?

    WAG bruised coccyx

I hope your DD gets better soon. Invest in a doughnut. It makes sitting more tolerable.

    Parents Gymnastics Body Type?

If your daughter wants to compete and you support her decision, then find another gym. Her chances for team at your current gym are pretty much nil. Just my 2 pennies.

    Parents Spinoff-how many left?

There were 11 girls on DD's L3 team. 3 moved to other g yms. 1 retired due to injury. 3 moved to IGC and eventually retired. 1 retired to do music instead.

    Parents First "Meet"

I would stick with your original plan. The coaches should inform them about ribbons. This way there is no added importance to the ribbons and praise should be placed on her effort. Enjoy the ride and congrats to your DD!

WAG Regional Percentages Question - R8

Region 1 does not have L6 Regionals as well. I thought that was the case for all regions, but apparently not.

    Parents Summer practice hours

We have 8 weeks of summer gym camp. It's almost a work day. Six hours plus half-hour lunch. The "almost" part does make it difficult because camp starts after most parents' workday starts and ends before most workdays end. The one thing I love about summer gym is that she gets her weekends back...

    WAG Is this possible?

    Thanks! That totally makes sense.

    WAG Is this possible?

My DD had her first optional meet as a Level 6. One of the girls she competed against in compulsories was competing as a Level 8 at the same meet. She is a very good gymnast and I fully expected her to skip 6 and compete at 7. Seeing her compete at 8 was not a total shock. After the meet, I went...

WAG Seeing the previous events' scores

Hmmm, I prefer to watch my daughter instead of a pen. But hey, what do I know?!

Well, then what would happen to Chalkbucket? Okay, I jest...sorta...;)

Has anyone read this story ?

I find this whole situation totally disgusting. I've lost all respect for All Olympia's elite coaches. And I'm not letting the gymnasts off so easily. If they had any kind of empathy, they'd realize they are kicking Belarussian gymnasts off the the Belarussian National Team without any kind of...

    Parents Progression question (vault?)

Sounds like Yurchenko training. What level is your DD?

Parents Advice for new gym parents?

Most meets we go to offer an all day pass. It doesn't help though if you have DDs competing on two different days.

Parents How would you handle with 5 yo?

Your DD is lucky. When DD joined pre team at 5.5 yrs old, it was pretty much all conditioning and shaping and then the last 10 minutes were free time. Box jumps, stall bar, rope climbs, running down the vault track, chin ups, presses, etc. were all presented in a fun way but watching her...

Parents Things your gymmie is happy about - add yours!

Lockers were cleaned out and reassigned last weekend. DD was thrilled to get one of the lockers that's almost as tall as her. Her group had been using the small square lockers since pre-team.
