I had the same thing only it wasn't swollen. I tried icing and taking Advil, but it always would hurt when I ran or tumbled. Rest is the key. Not just a couple days, a week or two. My physical theripist actually made me take two whole months off, but I don't think that's really necessary for...
My form is pretty good on my layouts, but every time I feel like I barely make it around. It kinda feels like I'm going really slow, even though the roundoff back hand spring is pretty fast. When I do my layouts my arms kind of do an arm circle to my thighs. Could that be affecting it? I've been...
When I make my giantes, they're awesome. But most of the time I fall. Sometimes It's usually because of my cast. I really would like to find a way to keep my giantes consistant no matter how big my cast is. I have been very stressed because we have a meet in a couple days and I really would like...
Hi. I am a 2nd year level 7 and I am still having trouble with tumbling. I just took 2 months off and I came back to gym a couple weeks ago. I just went to practice today and I kept falling on my face in my layout. I do the round off back handspring right and I can do great tucks but I just...
Ok, so the thing is, my heel and knee really don't hurt that bad. But my phisycal theripist still feels inflamation. He has given me stretches and strength exercises, and I have been doing those, but he wants me to take time off WITH the stretches. And he doesn't want me doing gym at all in that...
:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
I just found out from my physical theripest (I have been going there because I have problems with my heel and knee), that I have to take 2 months off! Now if you are a gymnast you would understand that you can't just drop everything and take 2 months off of...

HI everyone. How are you? I'm fine. I would love all of the gymnasts to write to me!
Ok, well, I was just wondering, do you have any funny gymnastics moments whether it be about a friend, family member, or you, tell me about it!! I remember one time my friend Amara (amarasmilez) was on beam and about to do a back hand spring saying "I can do this, I can do this, I can do...
well, of course there are a TON, but i will only name some. first on vault, my coach was spotting yerchancos, i went for it, but i went totally crooked away from my coaches spot and landed on my head! OUCH! next on beam, one of the coaches spotted me on a back walkover bhs on the low beam, my...
oh man, you call that a bad meet? well here's my level 6 state comp.: first was bars and i fell on my squat on AND my long hang kip! Next beam, i fall. Floor, low back tuck. And vault, well, i guess vault wasn't so bad. now THAT'S what you would call the worst meet of my entire life!
I jammed my finger (and this is also embarrassing) doing a backhand spring ON THE LOW TRAINER BEAM! Now I have a crooked finger!
P.S. Do any of you guys know how to post a thread for yourself? I have had a lot, no, a TON of trouble trying to figure it out! Send me a private message as soon as...
Well, at our gym, we have this thing called a cartwheel-o-thon which is a thing where any person can pledge an amount of money of how many cartwheels we can do in one minute to pay for meet fees. I did 51 cartwheels!
Well, at home or before you get on the beam, try a few backhand springs on a line. This always helps me. And when you are on the beam, just think of yourself as if you are on the floor and do the same thing. What also helps me is I think of the worst thing that can happen, and it seems not so...
