Parents Breakfast and early morning comps.

We have this problem all the time! I hate the 8am meets! I force my daughter to eat goldfish crackers and maybe some gatorade. It"s never a great meet at that time!

    WAG Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics?

Has anyone gone? We are going tomorrow and wanted to know if the celeb gymnasts sign autographs? My daughter has had a lifetime dream of meeting Nastia Luiken (her idol lol) and I was hoping she could get her autograph but people have told me they don't sign anything? Thank you :)

    Age Question!

My daughter is currently a 5 year old pre-team LvL 4. I was talking with her coach about competing Level 4 next season but she wasnt sure if she would be old enough. I am confused as to how this works. She will be 6 June 15 2011...can she compete in the 2011-2012 season? Do you determine it by...

    Long Days for little kids...

That's what I'm hoping the Girl Scouts will do for her too. On her pre team she is the youngest by a year and a half so I worry about her not interacting enough with her peers aside from school. I am glad it worked out for your daughter!

Parents I know gymnasts are small..but

I worry about my daughters height all the time! She is 5 years old and about 38" which I believe is 5th percentile but she's got some meat to her!!! Gymnastics has been great in helping her use her small size to her advantage instead of it being a neg.

Now THIS is what I'M talking about!!!!

Could you explain what "chucking" a skill is? I do put video's of my daughter on youtube and most of her stuff is newly learned so it's raw but she's attempting it. Just was wondering what this term means...don't know much about gymnastics

    Parents Competition age?

Don't know if I am posting this in the right place but what age can a child start competing? I see kids competing LvL 4 at 6 on youtube but my gym tells me the age is 7? We live in NY if that makes any difference?

What is considered "pushing" your child?

Is it ok to help your 5 year old if she asks at home for help with different skills? She is so eager to "practice" at home but I have heard many people say you shouldn't...gymnastics should be left for the gym. I am not a gymnast and really am just learning about the sport. She is moving to...

    Ballet Class?

I have a 5 y/o daughter who is a pre team LvL 4. I was thinking of putting her into a ballet or dance class bc she isn't super graceful....that part of gymnastics does not come naturally to her. Anyone have any suggestions?
