Back handspring Help

Can you help me with my back handspring? I keep bending my arms! :mad:
 
I do too. My coaches say keep your arms locked and up straight by your ears. Stretch them to the ceiling when you jump.

Don't bend them thats not good! Keep your arms by your ears like you do in handstands. You actually go into a handstand in the middle of the BHS. Go on youtube and watch how to do them. You can start them on the trampoline but once you got it on there take it to the floor with a mat so you don't develop bad habits ( like i did) and you probably want a spotter!! Good luck!
 
I had the same problem! I don't know what your bhs looks like but what was wrong with mine and what made me bend my arms was that I would throw my head back and that sometimes messed me up..lol. Just make sure that you keep your hands right next to your ears at all times and that they're not too wide. Keep them as wide as they would be in a handstand.
