Parents Coaching turnover

How is the coaching turnover at your gym? I feel like we have been turning over coaches at a high rate but want to hear input from others to calibrate.

My understanding is that coaches don't get paid much and every gym has turnover. No idea what's normal or average.

Our rec coaches turnover pretty regularly. Some stay long term, some for a year or two.

Team coaches seem to stay longer but have a bigger impact when they leave. Our head coach is also the owner- so no turnover there. But we've had some coaches leave this year, all compulsory levels. I live in an area with a number of other gyms so that seems to make it a little easier to exit.

I think the bigger question is why are the leaving? Having kids or moving or other life event? Totally normal. Because of other gym issues? Maybe something to look into.
