WAG Heel pain, "lumps" in bottom of heel

My DD is having heal pain. She has dealt with severs and says this feels different. She says it feels like there is "something" in her heel, on the bottom of it. It makes anything on her feet (running, tumbling, dance, etc) hurt all of her heel. When I rub her heel, deep in the tissue I can feel some knots. It basically feels like small knots/lumps. They move when you rub them (and she jumps because it hurts) and while it hurts to rub them she says it helps after I'm done.

Has anyone or their kid had something like this?

I vaguely remember one of my gymnasts complaining about pain like you describe. She was about 8/9 at the time.

I would take her to the doctor or a podiatrist to get it looked at. Almost sounds like scar tissue in the way you've described it

Obviously all we can say is she needs to see a dr. Cannot give out medical advice here.

There is nothing on the skin surface, only these knots really deep in there.

She will see the PT on Monday. I'm mostly just wondering if this sounds familiar to anyone.

They are normally under the skin and are not like the common wart you are thinking of.
